Change default "Apply styles to" in Style Properties?

Postby pokeefe0001 on Tue Nov 06, 2018 3:24 am

I use BlueGriffon only creating HTML emails - a newsletter. Any styles I use have to be inline. I usually remember to change the "Apply styles to:" field to "this element, through inline styles", but not always. Is there any way to change this to the default behavior? I know that this would not be appropriate for most people, but I seem to not be most people.

I haven't found a way to change that behaviour, even after going through:
Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Configuration Editor > I'll Be Careful, I Promise
and searching for every possible relevant term for an appropriate setting.

I run v1.7.2 under Linux Mint and always run BlueGriffon with the Style Properties panel docked. It defaults to "Apply styles to this element only through its ID". However, I only have to change it once and thereafter stays on what ever option I change it to, so I haven't found it a particular issue.
