Kompozer 0.8b1 inserts extra tag

Postby bburtin on Sat Nov 07, 2009 12:39 am

I've been having problems with Kompozer 0.8b1, where it inserts an extra tag like this:

Code: Select all

Then only one of the tags is closed, so all text afterwards is rendered in bold. Has anyone else seen this? I'm happy to help QA if necessary.

Many do all styling with css and few design in XHTML, so this may not have been noted before. Thanks for bringing it up.

No worries. I wasn't intentionally using XHTML. I was just editing a file that a friend of mine created (in Dreamweaver, IIRC). Is there a workaround? How do I tell Kompozer to use CSS instead of XHTML for bold text? I expected it would just use .

In the older versions there has been an option in the options menu to use css styles instead of html tags. Make sure that the check box is checked for css.

The CSS box is checked. There's definitely something funky going on. I was doing some more editing today and ended up with a duplicate tag. The preview showed one copy of the image, but when I opened it in the browser, I saw two copies side-by-side.
